I think PC is having diarrhea. He has had 3 watery BMs today. He is acting fine, alert and calm, but his fontanelle is sinking in and I don't know what to do.

Oh no. If his fontanelle is sinking in, I would call the ped and see what they have to say, since he's a newborn. I think I've read that BM is best for dehydration. But, then again if he's allergic to milk in your diet and having diarrhea b/c of that or something else... I wonder if pushing the Alimentum would be better. I don't know. I'd see what the ped says.

Definitely call the ped. Good for you for being able to tell the fontanell is sinking.

still having the diarrhea. he hasn't been unhappy through any of it..maybe a touch fussier than normal but basicallky normal. no more signs of dehydration. i did talk to the nurse from children's last night and she agreed that he was fine to be managed at home. i just don't get it, though! why is he sick AGAIN? it's so frustrating. i know you know what i mean, Rachel!

sorry to hear that.

Just asking -- are you sure its diarrhea? DD#2 has, since birth, had the watery-est poops. Really, just mustardy-brown liquid with some seeds in it. Much more watery than I recall DD#1s being. She's not sick, but is BFd. I just chalked it up to a different digestive tract....

My second seemed to be sick a lot too thanks to the fun germs that big brother would bring home! I think that is pretty normal, unfortunately.

Hope that he is feeling better soon!!
