Any ideas for nice baby gifts? Possibly personalized, around $25-$50 or under?

Three friends just had babies and I need to send gifts. They have all been very generous to us, but unfortunately I'm on unpaid maternity leave and money is tight. Of course they all decide to have babies at once, two on the same day!! I'm looking for expensive looking or bargain gifts (expensive but on sale). Any ideas? I always like personalized stuff for my kids but I'll take any ideas. There are two girls and one boy if this helps. Thanks girls.

I got the coolest personalized gift, but I have not been able to find where they are from. It is a ceramic baby shoe with a ribbon lace (pink or blue) and then the child's name and birthdate are written in gold on it. It looks handcrafted like it came from a craft fair and was sent by a relative that lives in VA. I just love it, but have not been able to find them (although there are some, not as cute, on Ebay). I wish I had a source because I would love to give them to others.

A good friend also got a personalized wooden baby block a her post-baby shower that was like laser-engraved. I think they run $25-30. If you want I can email and get the name of where it came from.

I got a really cute tote bag with DS's name on it-I belive it was a very cheap gift from those "stiching station" stores at the mall-do you have one of those near you? Anyway, I *love* it. When he was younger I threw toys in there for playdates and now it is great for trips to nana's and church. He loves that he has is own bag with his name on it! You could probably get a bag and a bib done at the same store, if I remember correctly. ;-)
