You know, I started recording this for DD because she loves music and dancing. It goes a little too slowly for her but I'm hooked....I really like Cheryl so I'm rooting for Ian. A and Julianne are really cute/good together too.

I also really like Apolo and Julianne, too. I must say that there has been quite a bit of talent this season. I think some of the other stars who would normally be "shoo-ins" for the win in previous seasons don't have that luxury this time around. The competition is great!

I just love Apolo and Julianne. He is HOT! I am enjoying this season. I have always rooted for Cheryl but I just don't care for Ian Ziering. He seems so full of himself.

I agree, ain't no shoo-ins this year. I love Cheryl and Kym, and luckily, I also really like Ian and Joey. I'm rooting for one of those teams for the win. Laila is amazing, too. I like all of them except for Apolo. Actually, I don't dislike Apolo, I like him fine; I just really like everyone else more. Same goes for Heather. Now, I really respect Heather's accomplishments and she's very charming and seems quite down to earth. But I"m team Paul, so I can't quite get 100% on board with her. And who doesn't love John Ratzenberger? He's the first "old guy" to really work so hard and be completely into it without silly gimicks (but I loved me some Jerry Springer). He's dancing! And he's not complaining! And he's doing WELL!

I just love Laila. But listen to her talk and tell me that girl's not on some kind of "enhancement," m'kay?

Oh, Mr. Achy Breaky is nice and hard to dislike. But I cannot stand Karina. What a crybaby diva sore loser mean girl. She can go anytime.

Well, exposure, I'm sure. Not to mention $$. It's not like Ballroom dancing has had a big following or awareness, so this is probably a professional ballroom dancer's dream.

I agree with you about Laila! Her voice seemed awfully deep to me.
But, I really like her personality and she is so graceful on the dance floor.
Honestly, I didn't expect her to be so good!

I did think it was funny last night when all the dancers were trying to learn
the jive. (?) The male teacher asked who the strongest guy was and she raised
her hand. :)

And, I see a little chemistry between her and Maksim. I loved it when Laila's
finance came to watch one of their dance rehearsals. His facial expressions
were classic.

Also, on a side note, is Maksim still dating his dance partner from last season?
I have forgotten her name but I remember the judges making some comments
to them about their *relationship*.

I love John Raztenberger (okay my spelling is off and I can never remember the partners names), Ian and Joey. It is so much fun to watch. I am not a phone person in general and yet I have been chatting with a friend each week as we watch. Dh is mortified!!! ;-)

Well you're all invited to my house to watch! DH is at least as hooked on the show as I am! The only thing is that we yell at the dancers and judges a lot: DH used to teach ballroom and I used to compete in ballroom, swing and C&W. Come join our party!

Ian clearly has the strongest natural "dance brain" but something just isn't sparking in his performance. Apolo is getting quite good, and we keep wondering how far he'd have come already if he had a more seasoned teacher like Cheryl, although he and his partner have a great energy together. Joey has a great shot, if he'll just stop having "Fatone" emblazoned on his costumes! I like Laila (and unlike others, I think her voice is just cool!), but until she figures out that the way to be "light on your feet" is to get own into the floor and use it, it just isn't going to truly happen for her. She needs to get a dance 'tude. I'm always partial to the "old guys" who are brave enough to come do this, and I am even more in awe of John for stepping in so late in the. Plus as you may imagine, I always had a soft spot for goofy ol' Cliff! Billy Ray has had me screaming in pain since show #1. I can't believe he is still on there.

So there ya go. Examples of what you'll hear us saying/yelling if you come over for a viewing party. Ummm, can I get anyone a Dr Pepper, margarita, or glass of iced tea?
