or a Pear Green.

Nothing too bright! Just a very pretty green that I will be able to live
with day in and day out. :)

Corie,

I was just over at my neighbor's yesterday to look at their basement they're refinishing, and she has the nicest green on the walls. I wouldn't call it GS green or pear green, but similar and it's really lovely. Would you like me to find out the color and where she got it?

The "Apple" series by Laura Ashley at Lowe's should fit the bill.

My sons' walls are painted Pasture's Edge by Sherwin-Williams, and it is bright but not too bright. It goes with all their PBK stuff, if that helps. Everyone who sees it likes their green. I thought I was going to want the Laura Ashley Apple when I started looking, but I ended up with this green instead. HTH.

We used Stem Green for our kitchen by Benjamin Moore. May be a bit too strong for you, but if you look at the BM colors you can pick one a bit lighter. I can email you a pic if you pm me your email address. CAn't seem to figure out how to post a pic here.

Corie,

My neighbor said the color is Sherwin Williams, "Sherwood Green"... #HC-118.

ETC: I think it may be Benjamin Moore, not SW.

HTH!

Sorry to hijack Corie but it seemed silly to start a whole new thread. We are redoing our guest room to make a new room for DS1 and I want to paint the walls the color of a blue sky. Any suggestions? TIA!!!

OMG-- I have been infatuated with this color for 2 weeks... I don't know which room I am going to paint that color but I NEED to have it in my house.

Granny Smith Green, white trim, and light wood floor

Love that color.

Nantucket grey from Benjamin moore is a nice gree, but it might not be bright enough for you.

Are you sure that is the name of the paint color? No one had heard of it
and it wasn't coming up in their computer.

(I stopped at some paint stores today!) :)

Tracy,

Thanks so much for the pictures!! I LOVE the Stem Green color!
I stopped at Benjamin Moore this morning and got a paint card with
the color. I want to show my husband. Although, he could care less
about what I choose!

Jen,

I think we need a comprehensive paint color thread!! :)

The last paint color that I picked on my own turned out looking like
1970s Legg's in the Egg pantyhose. I think there is a special gene
for picking out paint! (and I'm missing it!)

Gorgeous color but yes, it is too soft for what I'm looking for.

Hmmmm, where can I use it??? :)

I'm sure! I just saw it last week when I was decluttering the garage!

It might have been in the Martha Stewart line of Sherwin-Williams? We only painted last year -- I can't believe it would have disappeared already!

We used Shaker Basket Blue from the Martha Stewart line at Sherwin-Williams. Again, we just used it last year, so I hope it is still there!

Corie:

How funny, I was just thinking about you and paint colors this morning as I and my mom perused pink paint chips for my DD1's room. We heavily discussed Pink Fairy based on your recommendation, but it seems too brown for us.

For DD2's room, I used Limonata from Lowe's American Tradition/Valspar. I too wanted Granny Smith green, and everyone loves the color I picked, goes nice with blue. It's great for a kid's room, but maybe a little too pastel for another room. You can get a sample bottle of ANY Lowe's paint shade for $3.

In our family room, we have Lowe's Belle Grove Moss on the trim. It's a very muted light green, good for adult rooms. PM me for me to email you a photo.

I don't recommend another Lowe's color, Spring Lawn, I think, or something on that strip. It's pretty bright. We tested it in our laundry room before using it in DD's room, and quickly nixed it for DD.
