DS woke up sunday morning and one of his eyes was squint. First i thought its just something that will go away itself - maybe after he naps, but its still not gone. Has any one had such an experience before? He seems to be fine otherwise, but its creeping me out. What could have gone wrong??? I have an appointment with the ped this afternoon and then will get another appoitment with the opthomologist (however youspell that!!)Im scared....any advice/??

Well, for now we still dont know whats up with his eye. The doc said there are a couple of reasons why this could happen. First one being he might have gotten a viral infection and that sometimes causes the muscles to weaken up and the eye tilts inward. Second, eye might be getting weaker so sometimes thats how they try to focus. His eyesight seems fine and will have to do an MRI to see if everything is okay internally. For now she just gave him an eye patch to wear one hour a day on the crossed eys just to make sure that he is using his other eye actively cuz if he is not, thats gonna effect his eyesight. The doc is now gonna talk to his ped and then send him for an MRI for which he will have to be sedated.... then we will be seen again in a couple of weeks.....so right now we still dont know what to expect but I am hoping its nothing big.
