Anyone else's dc have *really* large boogers? I'm not talking a little boogie here...they're almost the size of her nostril. Today she had one in each nostril. I almost wondered how she could breathe.

I wondered last week if she had something lodged but after a little google research she's just a really boogery child. I have to perform extractions daily so it's, unfortunately, on my mind alot.

I don't *think* anything's wrong but would love to hear that she's not abnormal. It's only been a bigger issue the last couple months, fwiw.

I love them most when they are sleeping.--Me

Oh yeah- my son is almost 4 and he refuses to blow his nose. It's gross... we joke that he must charge his boogs rent they are so big. We use nasal saline spray every chance we get - we call it whale juice to make it less gross-- and then use the aspirator (if he'll let us) for removal. We make a game of it, like ask him -do you think there are juicy ones in there or crunchy ones?? Big or small?? But, we always make him breathe thru his nose when we are done to see if we got them and he can breathe.

Oh, the joys of motherhood!!

Oh, yes. I am Chief Booger Burglar at our house. They're humongous, and have roots. I am constantly amazed at what comes out of his nose.

Count us in!

My 2.5 year old son has enormous boogers! I always wonder how he is able
to breathe because seriously, the booger has got to be clogging up the airways.

I pulled out a giant one the other day and I showed my husband who instantly
went into the dry heaves.

I was like, "Are you kidding me????"

Ok, I'll play:
Getting one out of DD's nose using the aspirator and when I blew the air out a huge boogar splotted across the room and hit the wall.
EEEEeeeeeeewwwwwww.

DH was impressed, though.

Yes!! DD gets these huge crusty ones, it's gotta feel yucky! I've started having the saline spray as part of our morning routine because if she doesn't it gets really gross. I think it's allergy related because her's seem to get worse in the spring.
