My sister is graduating on mothers day with her masters in child psychology. I'm at a complete loss as to what to get her. I offered to take her and her dh out to dinner but since it's mothers day she's not interested in that. She just wants to have everyone back to her place for awhile,ok,that's cool. But what do I do now?
She's currently working for the city schools and one of the schools that she works at is in a VERY rough neighborhood so I don't want to do anything pricy for her desk or anything. Add to that that she works at 2 diff schools, something for her desk would be a bad idea.
Our grandmother is wanting to get her an attache case so that options out. Any suggestion? I could really use the help.

I don't know if she'd have a place to display this, but we always give a gift certificate to one of those framing places - so that they can get a fancy/expensive frame their diplomas. Or the university also sells fancy frames, sometimes with their logo or name or picture on it.

That's a great idea! I paid $$$$ to have my master's diploma framed.

You can also get her something like a Franklin Covy planner, or another kind of nice planner. HTH!

do you want to get her something to use at work?
I'm a school counselor & love this site:

here's the page for counselors:

here's therapeutic games: http://www.any-book-in-print.com/_a_z_booklist/_games_booklist.htm

maybe a gift certificate? oftentimes work won't pay for materials that you really want...

I am a school counselor, too and I haven't seen these. Thanks for posting them!

To the OP, I agree that resources for her job, especially if she works in some schools that don't have a lot of money, is the best gift. I have spent WAY too much on my resources! :)
