I have a sinus infection and have been given a script for Ammoxicillin. What do I need as far as pro-biotics go? I really want to avoid having a problem with beloved EBF DD. I'm not supposed to be having dairy, so can I get it in tablet or capsule form? When I was overseas I got it in a powder to mix with water, but that was before I was PG.

Thanks Mamas!!

The first thing that I would do is not buy anything that is not refridgerated as the chance that the beneficial bacteria is already dead, is greater. Generally that means you will have to find a health food store to shop at. I use Natren and they have non-dairy formulas but you would either need to go to a Health Food Store or order from their website.

Thanks, I got some from the pharmacist, it is refrigerated. I think it is milk derived, though. :-(

We have a health food store around the corner, so I'll try that tomorrow for the non dairy kind.

We've been pretty lucky so far as far as our health goes , I just don't want to mess with a good thing!

I'm using Udo's Choice brand and it's the refrigerated kind. I got mine from Vitacost but you can get it from WF's. It is dairy free, but it does say that it MAY contain traces of dairy or soy--which I take to mean it may have been manufactured with equipment that was used for dairy and/or soy. I'm dairy-free and so far I'm not having any problems.

I hope you feel better!
