HELP! Dog urinated on the Oriental rug - how what???

Please help! My dog just piddled on our best wool rug. I've soaked up the liquid with paper towels but now what do I do?

Have it professionally cleaned? We don't have pets, but we have our oriental rugs cleaned once/year or once every 2 years.

nature's miracle! Spray to saturate, blot. It will be stink free (I assume stuff is safe on Oriental rugs, it's never hurt anything we have)

Blot it up as much as possible, and pick up some Nature's Miracle at any pet store. Saturate the rug with it, and let it dry on its own.

The Nature's Miracle is by the housebreaking supplies. It's not cheap, but totally worth it. It's also good to have around the house - works on kid accidents, vomit, etc.

BTW, don't forget to do a spot check on a small hidden area of the rug first.
