I think we might have them, and just the thought of it has me completly skeeved out. Ick, ick, ick! I can't seem to pull up anything on this out of the archives, so someone fill me in.

Dh stayed at a dumpy hotel for work recently, and may have brought them back with him. Ewwwwww. Google hasn't been a lot of help either. Help! Is there any alternative to hiring an expensive exterminator? We were looking at the Diatect line of natural insecticides as an alternative to all of the chemicals. Would we be just wasting our time?

Uh oh...I think Mika has Bedbug bites, at least with the Google picture I just saw. Okay, what should we do? I'm definitely looking at this thread carefully. Eww....

While you are doing a major cleaning of your bedrooms to get rid of these things, don't forget to inspect your suitcases.

I think you could definitely use an alternative to chemicals. My aunt tells of moving into a house when she was little (1930's) and the bedrooms had bedbugs. Her grandmother came and put their bedposts in jars of kerosene so that the bugs couldn't crawl up into their beds. According to my aunt it worked.

just a bit of trivia- although that's probably not what you were looking for. good luck!

Well, I'm still not sure what exactly we have. I read and read and read and read last night, and I'm still unsure. We have none of the apparent signs that usually accompany bed bugs. All we have are lots of bug bites. We are now thinking that it may have just been a spider/mosquitoe attack after all. We were initially concerned because of the cluster of the bites, and the frequency that they were happening.

To complicate matters more, we are leaving for a two week vacation on Saturday, so whatever we deceide to do will have to wait until we get back. Please send all the BBB Mojo my way that this ends up being nothing more than agressive mosquitoes. Thanks for the help, girls! :)

I've been thinking about you Kelli and hoping that you do NOT have bedbugs and not just because I don't want Mika to have them. :P Sending you tons of bug-free vibes your way! Have a fabulous vacation!
