We have a room in our home that someone has been staying in and let's just say that they are not the neatest / cleanest person . I need to quickly neutralize the room and the smells - not just cover them up with a better smelling scent ;) What can you recommend?

I'd put some white vinegar in a spray bottle and just go to town with it.

You can even put a bowl of it in the corners/under the bed and it will help absorb the ick factor.

The other option is a solution called X-O. It's really hard to find, but it's the most kickass stuff **ever**.

ITA with the vinegar. I would also do a bowl of baking soda in the room.

So house guests really do start to smell after three days?

:)

I would wash all the sheets, curtains, etc. If they are still there, just tell them you want to freshen it up for them. If there is a rug, sprinkle baking soda, let sit a few minutes and then vacuum it up.
