St Vincent Pediatric or Riley Children's would be my first choices. Community North also has a brand new children's facility and Clarian North has a peds department.

Which one would somewhat depend on why you need them, though.

Riley Children's Hospital is downtown on the IUPUI medical campus. That would be my first choice. St. Vincent's Children's in on the northwest side of town.

I would go to Riley first for two reasons--
1) nationally known--part of IU Med School

2) I know many many people who have had success stories there-I had surgery with one of their surgeons and he did a great job, though I had it done outpatient at the northern surgery center on Meridian and they saved my neighbor's little boy when he was badly burned as a newborn (long story). Their child life department is amazing.

We have used Riley, St. Vincent's, Community North, and Clarian North. Honestly, I think it depends on what specialist you are wanting. Most of the specialists that practice at Riley also go to Clarian North. Graham has autism and an immune deficiency. Some things I'm okay doing at Community North and some things make me want to go to a hospital with a PICU. I'm just picky like that. Needless to say, there are several options and I don't feel like we need to leave to city to obtain quality care.
