Questions about IUD removal

Asking quickly as I'm at work...
How much does it hurt? I know you bleed after removal- how heavy was it & how long did it last. Maybe TMI but can you wear a tampon?

Is there anything else I should be prepared for before going in?

It didn't hurt at all! Fast and easy. I didn't bleed afterwards (or if I did it was so minimal that I don't remember...). You should be able to wear a tampon though I imagine a panty liner would be more than sufficient.
