We have a 2001 Toyota Siena mini van and I pay $50 per week for gas which seams quite expensive to me. We are getting about 21 miles per gallon with mostly city driving. I am curious what other mini van (or SUV) owners get for mpg. I would love to get a hybird but right now we need seating for 5 including 2 in car seats.

Thanks,

Jessica.

Man! 21mpg seems good to me! We have a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder and we get about 16mpg with me driving (and about 12mpg with DH driving). However, we don't do a whole lot of driving, which helps. We do pay about $50 a week for gas as well.

Side note - my manager has a Cadillac Escalade and gets 9mpg. Eek!

We have an Acura MDX -- about 16 mpg and also spending about $50 a week in gas. So annoying! It goes back to the dealer in a year so I am interested to see what other folks are getting. I'd like a minivan that gets better mpg.

We've been driving a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT from my company motor pool for about 6 weeks and it gets about 21 mpg on the highway, slightly less around town. It costs about $50 to fill. Our regular cars get 28 and 32 mpg, but are both small.

We get 14.2 mpg in our 2004 Sienna AWD. Your 21mpg is actually really good for a minivan, especially a Sienna.

Karen - good to "see" you around!!!!

PP - I get average 14 mpg w/ a 2007 Pilot - also about $50/week w/ average driving. It's about 6 miles to/from work and then another few miles on lunch hour and maybe 5-10 in the evenings if we're out and about. My driving is mostly suburban w/ a highway thrown in here and there.

At least it's regular gas vs premium though! I've noticed the fill ups are getting slightly cheaper these days - the other day i was at $47 and my gas light was lit.

We're getting 19-20 with a 2006 Buick Terraza-- mix of city & highway.

It's a 25 gallon tank, so I try not to let it get close to E for my own sanity on the fillup cost.

17.4 mpg for a subaru Tribeca. We want our next car to get better mileage, but we need the space. We would be happy with anything around 20 mpg. DH's car is a prius - our trip to the beach today (2 hours round trip ) was 50 mpg. So every other car is a guzzler to me.

1997 Blazer and we get 16ish in town, better if I'm driving. It does get great mileage on the highway though. Luckily we don't drive that much, so fill up costs $35 every week and a half.

I have the Ford Freestyle crossover, renamed this summer to the Ford Taurus X. It comfortably seats 6 or 7. The front wheel drive version which I have gets better mileage, advertised at 20 city and 27 highway, but it's more like 25 highway and 17 or 18 city. I've had the car a little over a month and I believe mileage improves as the car breaks in... not sure if a month and 1,500 miles is adequate break-in or not.

Toyota Highlander is out with a hybrid and it has a third row, albeit not a big one. You could also see if your two car seats and other passenger all fit in the second row. I thought it was too tight for 3 car seats in the second row, but they did physically fit.

2005 GMC Yukon...17-18 mpg...about $60 a week. I'm seriously (like, may do it next week) considering trading it in for a Prius.

I have a 2004 Honda CRV - my average MPG is a little over 21 - I've had a low of just under 17 and a high of just over 26.
