Looks like our Maytag Neptune washer is about to croak and I'm going ahead and looking into what's out on the market these days. My washer is almost ten years old and part of the class action lawsuit. All I got was a lame certificate off the purchase of another Maytag which is 1) expired now, 2) probably not acceptable anyway since they were bought by Whirlpool, and 3) why the heck would I buy another piece of crap.
Anyway, my first thought was a Kenmore because that is what my parents had growing up and that one seemed to last a thousand years. Looking at the HE3 or HE5 models. Can you tell me if you have experience with either of those and do you see a real difference between the two. And also, if you've had good experience with other front loaders, please share.
