I'm going on vacation by myself with DS - DH will meet us later. Do I need a letter from DH saying he knows I'm taking DS out of state? I know some countries require authorization from the other parent so that they know the child is being taken across state lines - this is for flying.
thanks,
nicci

Nope. You don't need anything. I've flown alone with ds without a problem before.

If you were divorced, it would be another story.

It is a non-issue within the USA. DD flies everywhere with me without DH. Even if you are divorced, the airlines don't care. A judge may, but not the airlines.
