So dh and I have started dreaming of a long weekend trip this winter (without kids) - first trip since the twins were born - they will be two soon. I am looking for ideas. We have gone to Vegas a few times (pre-babies) and that is a fallback, but looking for other thoughts. We live in Texas, so everything is far away! I have never skied (he has a few times, not much), but would be willing to try. However, it will have to be a short trip, so I would like something fairly accessible. ie - not 6 hours driving from airpot to location. We have thought about Tahoe and Taos - not sure where to stay or how easy they are to get to. Any other suggestions?
