I have recently seen a few people driving while wearing gloves and I am wondering what that is all about. Is it because people's hand's get cold when they drive? I know that my mom wears gloves when she drives during the winter because her hands are always cold, but it is in the high 80's in LA this week.

I am being totally honest right now, not trying to insult anyone, I seriously have no idea why people would wear gloves when they drive and would love to know if I should go get myself some, lol.

Some people wear them because their hands get sweaty when they hold the steering wheel and it slips.

I've considered them this week since we've been in the 90s and the steering wheel gets too hot to touch...

I haven't seen anyone wearing them but my first thought was that people have their a/c on too much. DH likes the car colder than I do and if we have it at his prefered temperature when I am driving I find that my hands can get chilly as the vents point at them. (I think our vents are broken and we can't redirect the air.) I've never felt the need for gloves though.

Out here I see a lot of Asians wearing not only gloves but "sleeves" over their arms. It's to keep the sun off. I see a lot of that in Taiwan as well, although it could also be to keep the cold out, because a lot of people ride motorscooters there.
