I'm thrilled to announce the arrival of our 3rd BBB baby (I've been a member since nearly the very day we conceived our 1st, even though we weren't officially "trying" at the time)!.
Baby Caroline arrived July 29th, healthy and perfect after a fast, EASY, one-hour labor at home with my amazing midwife attending and DH catching. She was 7.5 lbs, 21 inches long. I had a tiny tear --an old scar opened up-- but for the first time I didn't need stitches, which was a huge relief! Our homebirth couldn't have been better. Some of you might recall that my last birth was a fast, unplanned UC -- this one was MUCH more relaxed, and even faster, which I didn't expect. I never even got into the birth tub! Thankfully my water broke a few hours before contractions began so I was able to give my midwife the heads up. I credit the prayers of our friends and family for how well it all went.
Baby is calm, laid-back, and an excellent sleeper (praise God!) and her siblings just adore her! She is already smiling and cooing at us. Life with 3 is much easier than I anticipated, although the logistics are trickier -- I'm grateful for my pouches, mei tais, and Ergo (and I've been researching a double on the stroller board).
Thank you all for 5 years (!!!) of great info, support, and occasional debate here on the BBB! :D
...blessed wife and mama to three!
