Interesting article on motherhood

I thought this was interesting and pretty right on. I admit I have sometimes fallen prey to some of the habits the author mentions so it was really good food for thought.

Tee hee! Yes, it was a good article, although I thought she could've stopped after the great first paragraph. Going on for 3 pages sorta proves her point :-)

Huh. I do think I and a lot of people I know tend to hyper-obsess a bit. But I also think we know more about kids and the impact of certain choices than in our parents generation.

In a similar vein though is a book my (mommy) book club just read. Its called "I Was a Really Good Mom Before I Had Kids". It talks about the self-imposed guilt that so many moms have today, how we judge each other for our various parenting choices and how it does no one any good.
