Hi All,
At my dental cleaning last week, the dentist noticed a cavity near an existing filling that I've got. So I made an appointment to get it filled on Thursday. I don't remember the wording that he used, but I got the impression that he'll have to drill out around the old filling to fill the new one.
I remembered reading previous posts here that there's concern with mercury in fillings & that it would be released during the process of taking an old filling out.
I am nursing my DS, who is 10 months old. I want to take every reasonable precaution to keep him as healthy as can be, of course.
I would delay getting the cavity filled, but I plan to nurse DS until 2yrs old, if he so desires. Seems like I should address this cavity before then.
OK, I just looked in my mouth & I have no silver colored fillings. So my cavity must be filled with the white filling, which as I recall has BPA in it??
I would really love some guidance, please.
ETA: subject line is misleading - DS will not be nursing while I'm in the dentist's chair!
Thanks!!!
Jill
