Sadly, I wonder how many people won't realise it's a satire.

The same ones who go on his show thinking he really means that stuff he says and think he isn't making fun of them? (Evil grin!) You know, the ones who invited him to host the Gridiron Dinner. He's a Great American (And So Can You!).

Another fun article on the subject: http://www.nofactzone.net/

I just bought his book at Costco for Jonathan yesterday. I'll be reading it as soon as he's done.

You know, he lives about ten minutes from me (Colbert, that is. Not Jonathan). :P

oooohhh how lucky! :-)

I was totally impressed with his singing when Tony Bennett was on the show.

My jaw just hit the floor.
We rely on Tivo too much and always watch the next day so I haven't seen the big announcement show yet. Holy crow. Off to call DH.

Love the running mate ideas the article lists:

Colbert-Huckabee, Colbert-Putin or Colbert-Colbert.

ROTFLMAO.

He does!? He is so funny, the satire just never turns off. I think he said he was running in South Carolina only. It made me wonder if by some fluke of just name recognition he became a write in candidate... Wasn't he born in Canada, though? I could be wrong on that.
