View Full Version : Anyone else's DC just like to hold on to their treats?

My DS gets two of the gummy bear vitamins a day. He LOVES them. He'll dance for them and everything. For a while, he was shoving them right into his mouth and hopefully asking for "more?" Now, he's figured out that he only gets two. So, he'll do the dance and all that fun jazz, then he just holds them in his fist. I've asked him to eat them and he tells me "No No No!" After about 15 minute to a half hour, he finally eats them and makes all the appropriate appreciative noises "Mmmmmmmm". He'll even try the "more please?" tactic one more time. But until he's ready to eat them, he just walks around and plays while holding them in his hand.

Anyone else's DC do that? It seems like he likes knowing he has them more than he likes eating them.

Oh yes... For a long time DC would just hold onto a cookie for hours!

DS did this a lot when he was younger. He doesn't do it as much now. But if he's eating chocolate, I encourage him to go ahead and eat it instead of holding onto it for later!
