I had my ultrasound today. Got to see and hear the baby's heartbeat - it's 133 beats/minute. The baby is 0.88 cm in length, so perfectly on track growth wise. So, all is good and with the help of progesterone, this one is staying put :)

Thanks! Somehow this pregnancy has not been real in my head because I guess I kept waiting for my body to trick me again. So, hearing and seeing that little heartbeat was awesome.

Yay! There is nothing like seeing and hearing that heartbeat! I hope the rest of your pregnancy is nice and boring. :)

Anyone believe in that tale? Under 140 is a boy, over 140 is a girl? Although, Aaron was 154 if I remember correctly and he's a boy.

See, I heard boys are lower than 150 and girls higher. I totally don't put faith in any of the wives' tales. :) This little one has been all over the place with their heartbeat- always keeping me guessing.

Ds was more in the 140s than anything else.

I do believe in this Old Wives Tale but I don't think you can really tell from a short ultrasound. I had several non stress tests with each kid (DD and DS), where you are basically hooked up to the monitor that measures the heart rate for about a half hour, and over the course of that time you could really see the basic heart rate and whether it was consistently over 140 or under. So for both of my kids this old wives tale held true.

Thank you! I am so tired... can I quit my job and just sleep all day?
