Without getting in to a ton of background, I was wondering if anyone has ever been to a public playground located on top of a parking garage. We are trying to think creatively to find playground space in our very urban neighborhood, and there is a 3 story city owned garage. I have never seen anything like this, but I would imagine it exists. If you have seen it, I'd love to know what it was like and where it is.

OK, I've been to a roof-top playground before but not a public one. Are you more interested in the public part of the equation. The one that we go to is at the University of Michigan, on the roof of the Children's hospital. It is awesome! The ground is so soft and squishy and the equipment seems so clean. The walls around the playground are high, but they are also clear so that the kids can look out without feeling the need to climb the wall. Not sure if that is what you were looking for. HTH

My daughter's daycare has its playground on the roof of the building.
I don't have pix, but it is pretty cool.
