Hi! My SIL is having her second baby in January, and I was thinking that a cool gift for them would be a meal delivery service. However, my SIL is basically a vegetarian, and she and my BIL go out of their way to buy organic foods as much as possible. Does anyone have any recommendations for meal delivery services that would cater to such a demographic? Thanks!

I don't know of any service that does organic meals, but I have gotten produce delivered via
http://doortodoororganics.com/ in the past. It isn't a pre-made meal, but in case you can't find an alternative, I thought I'd mention it.

What a nice gift!!

I am a vegetarian, and do not know of any chain/nationwide services that are vegetarian. I am not sure if you live in the same area as your SIL, but in order to find out if something local to her exists I would suggest googling vegetarian and/or organic meal delivery services and her city, calling a health food store in her city and asking them, or if you are local to her pick up a publication/newsletter that tends to be more "alternative" or have things of interest to people that would be in the same sort of demographic. A lot of times services like you describe will advertise in publications like that.

I know in my area we do have one such service, but they are not a chain and don't do anything beyond our local area.

There is a mail-order vegetarian one based in St. Louis. I've never tried it but I have considered it.

I don't know if this helps, but here's a service in the San Francisco Bay area that's been recommended to me:
