I'm trying to come up with a Christmas list for DH, but I'm having trouble thinking of things I want this year (other than clothes...and I do NOT want DH to pick out my clothes). I was thinking that I'd like a nice camera bag for my Nikon D40X. I have the standard black nylon one, but I was wondering if there are any fashionable options out there. It would need to be big enough to hold the camera body and one lens (although my lens is pretty big), and I'd love it if there was enough space for my wallet, keys, cell phone, and maybe even a diapees & wipees.

Everything I find is just plain black or brown and unappealing. I guess I could just use a regular bag, but I want something with some padding.

Ideas?

Kata Bags are pretty cool - www.kata-bags.com as are Tamrac www.tamrac.com and Lowepros www.lowepro.com .

But if you want to snoop at others - just check out www.bhphoto.com - they pretty much carry everything photo related.

We have some neoprene covers from Zing. You use the cover and then you can put the camera/lens in pretty much any bag you like. :)

http://www.crumplerbags.com/

When the homepage loads, click on the little drawing at the bottom of a red camera for camera bags. REI and Sierra Trading Post have them on sale sometimes.

I bought crumpler at ebags.

My serious photo friends have tamrac bags.

Tumi sometimes has nice camera bags, but not much selection.

I use a pelican -- LOVE it!

Not fashionable, maybe, but I think it's cool, and it's practically bulletproof. ;)
