What are you wearing for family/holiday portraits?

We so need to have a family photo done this year & really need to get a move on. I've no idea what I want to wear though. I bought cute holiday dresses for the girls that are dk. green & black but I don't know that I want to do a "formal" family photo. I need ideas ladies. Please share what you're doing.

I'm not planning on holiday photos but would recommend something classic -- you know that you won't look back at years from now and feel like the clothing is so dated.

You can wear a black sweater and DH can wear dark green.

I'm totally cheesy - we do white tops and jeans with bare feet in all of our casual family pictures - they look so good lined up in the hallway as a progression of our family. I love it!

For holiday pictures - this year we are hoping to get another 'fresh' snow in the next day or two, then we are going to run out back (I live on a lake) and take some pictures - the kids mixed in red and black turtlenecks and jeans and hubby and I in red and black long sleeve sweaters (me red, him black).
