(BJ's is like Sam's or Costco in the Northeast)
I was surprised to find that Baby Bargains didn't cover toddlers, so I was on my own to find a bed solution for my 2.5 year old.
BJ's sells a solid pine bunkbed, made in Brazil, that is only $199.99.
What I liked about this bed is that you can use the two beds side by side, or as a bunkbed. My other daughter is 4mos old so until she is ready, the lower bunk is in the shed (disassembled) and the upper bunk is what my oldest daughter sleeps in.
The quality of the wood and general contruction is very good. I made one modification to allow me to use the almost full-length rails on the standalone bed (the end of the rails would be held in place by the ladder, which I am not using, so I used a scrap piece of pine and made a vertical brace.
