table and chair sets

Can anyone recommend places to get a table and chair set for my daughter. I am looking for something wood that is decorated/painted. I also want 4 chairs (some brands only sell 2 and you can't get extras). Does anyone have a store/website or brand they recommend?

Here are a few that I saw on the Target website. I can't say how they'd look in person. (The third one is actually a metal "bistro" set, but it looked kind of cute.)

IKEA also had an inexpensive set on there site that was unfinished wood, so you could decorate it how you want to. But it was the table and two chairs (didn't say if you could buy extra chairs). But it was also only $30 for the set, so you could always buy two and just have an extra table--it would still be cheaper than the ones at Target.

Take a look at bluelight.com. They have a "play time" set that you buy separately -- the table by itself, then one box containing one red and one blue chair, and another box containing one green and one natural chair. I have seen these in person and they are really cute and sturdy, too. Babyuniverse.com has the same set but for more money. Good luck!

I just posted on the Baby Bargains Book boards that LLBean has their table and chair sets on sale. They're still on the "expensive" side, but they look pretty nice.

We got a set over Christmas from Crate and Barrel and love it. They are expensive though and ours is a maple finish so you may not be able to paint them. The quality is outstanding and adults sit in the chairs all of the time. I do recall seeing a less expensive set that was painted. Kristan

We got a great set at IKEA. It is solid rubberwood, part natural wood (laquered) and part opaque white laquer. The table was $20 and you could buy as many chairs as you wanted for $12.50 each. I think it is called Gulliver in their catalog.
