Hi,
I am looking for a bodysuit/undershirt/onesie for my 2 yr toddler. Up to now, she wore the carter's bodysuit or onesie but they only go up to 24 mos. which she has outgrown. I have been desperately searching for some kind of onesie or bodysuit, or even just an undershirt for her to wear under her clothing but can't find a thing in toddler sizes. Anyone have any info?

I also like the bodysuits and my dd is 19 mos. old. She can still wear the 9-12 month ones w/ an extender - has 3 snaps on each end and adds about 2-3 inches to the length. Also I have seen toddler bodysuits at Gymboree and Old Navy.

I think Gerber makes some that come in larger sizes. Here's a link to babysupermall.

And a link to the extenders.

And here's another brand, not sure where you can buy them (although there is a site below that seems to carry them).

And here's another site.

I got most of these from a similar discussion from January on the BBBook board.

HTH!

I love Carters myself but find that they size very small. Target on the other hand sizes big. You might want to check them out.

Also, if you have Mervyn's department stores near you I think they do caryy some onesies in toddler sizes, and occasionally overalls too. The last place is Land's End, which is expensive, but sometimes you can get stuff at low prices on their overstocks.

Thanks so much for the info. Have you ordered any of them? If so, do you recommend any particular one for it's quality? I was thinking about the Gerber. Thanks.

Sears has a great supply of inexpensive, well made, 24 mo onesies.

Okay I'm going to update my previous post. My local Gymboree was having a fabulous sale today (they're usually way too expensive for my tastes) and I discovered that they made a few onesies in toddler sizes. I actually bought 2 girls' 3T onesies (if you can believe that) for about $9 each (as you can see, still a little pricey) and got Gymbucks to boot (see Gymbucks discussion on this board).

If you have a Children's Place anywhere near you, check there. They have bodysuits for toddler girls that go at least up to a 5T. Their prices are generally better than Gymboree. This weekend, they were going for 2/$12. We have several of them and I have found them to be of good quality and value.

Hello!

My 2-year-old twins outgrew the Carter's onesies a long time ago, but Gerber onesies still fit them fine. My DD is 24 pounds and 35 inches, and she wears a Gerber size L. My DS is 30 pounds and 36 inches, and wears a Gerber size XL (though he can still fit in a size L).

Gerber onesies are pretty good in quality if you're just using them for an undershirt or for a child to sleep in. (Kinda like white Fruit of the Loom t-shirts for men ... they're basics, and are fine for undershirts, but not normally something one would wear out.) I actually turned my nose up at Gerber onesies when the twins were little, and only bought Carter's onesies, thinking they would be of much better quality. They weren't. The Gerber onesies have actually turned out to be better for us.

The Gymboree shirts/onesies are nicer, and are something IMHO you'd use as regular clothing ... not as an undershirt.

I didn't see that anyone mentioned the Wee Essentials from JCPenney. I find these to be very well made and they go up to XXL. My two year old still fits in his.
