Ok i'm still kinda "new" to the being a mommy to a boy thing, swimsuit wise it seems all they ever are is shorts with some PITA mesh lining x( Now with my girls i always look for a suit with good coverage to help reduce risk of burning, but with ds{3yrs} i have not had any such luck, he dislikes wearing a T-Shirt in the water........

So is their such a thing as a one piece swimsuit for a boy?

What to others do? suggestions would be wonderful! :D

Thanks...

I bought a surfer style one piece that covers what a T-shirt and shorts would otherwise. It zips up the front. It's easy to put on but a bit trickier to take off when wet. We were going for a week's vacation with a pool and I wanted to make sure that he had some extra warmth, not to mention sunprotection. He seems to like it just fine. there are some that also have built in flotation devices if that's your thing.

I have seen some if the surfer style ones at One Step Ahead. They also have special extra sun protection.

Pamela-

I have a surfer type suit like Paula mentions that zips up the front. It is by Excel (?) and we bought it when we were in Hawaii. I thought it was just a frivolous purchase at the time, but I love it and I think it actually keeps DS a little warmer. It is not the best for diaper changes, but I have yet to need to change his diaper when he has the suit on.

Just as a tip with the zippers...We have caught DS skin in the zipper when unzipping and it was very painful. So just be careful with those zippers if you end up getting a similar one to mine

i just got a cute one piece for my sun at www.sunbusterskids.com. i asked about the zippers and they don't come down so far as to be "risky" and they are really cute.

Try onestepahead.com I think they have what you're looking for.

Hi Pamela,

I saw some one-piece suits at Target... they are located near the pool toys, in the toy section. (I suppose to be as confusing as possible...)

Best of luck,
