I still mainly dress Sarah in one piece or 2 piece PJs. When do people start putting little girls in nightgowns?

Thanks!

When I worked in the clothing store, we sold nightgowns in size 2. We always sold out of sizes 2-4.

I was SUCH a nightie girl and this thread lead me to check out Gymbo's stock today. There wasn't a size 2 or 3 in the entire store!

So much for trying them on Mia... :P

Madison has a few nightgowns, and they look sooooooooo... cute on her! DH loves when she wears them, I think its because she just looks so girlie and sweet. We also have a lot of two piece pj's. I believe Carter's has nightgowns for little girls starting at about 18mths.

Beth, I just started putting nightgowns on Kathleen around her birthday. I got her the princess one from Gymbo (the slicky one) for her birthday and she was in love. Now that's all she wears. So far, I have gotten 2 more Gymbo ones (mermaids and Hawaii prints) and one from Target (that's bright green with pinks and has little mod girl characters on it that look like "That Girl" :)).

I can't get her to wear her 2-piece capri jammies any more. She insists on nightgowns.

(And she is potty-trained, but still wears a night dipe. When she wore it for the first time, I had to impress upon her that we don't ever rip off our dipe off. :))

I've thought about trying out a nightgown for Arielle, but unfortunately, I doubt she'd wear one! She refuses to go to sleep without pants/shorts on! She won't even sleep in a dress and she wears one every Saturday--I have to give her a change of clothing before nap time! I guess the upside is I've never had to worry about her pulling her diaper off, right? :)

But now that I've seen some of Kathleen's nighties (LOVE the blue one, Maureen!) maybe I'll just buy her one and see if she'll try it!

I got Sarah one nightgown at Gymbo to try and she loved it. :)

But all the other ones at Gymbo were the silky material, and I don't like that. Where can I find nice gowns that are not that silky polyester? I would prefer gowns that are either cotton or non-silky polyester. The one I got from Gymbo was polyester, but was not silky. It was the one from the Pineapple line.

That is so cute! After reading your post, I was interested in getting Kaitlin a nightgown but all they had at Gymbo was some crazy cat looking one so I'll have to wait. Do they have cotton nightgowns? I thought they were all polyester.

Beth - Sarah's Prints has adorable nightgowns - I have found them at TJ Maxx and on the www.cwdkids.com site. We also have a cute cotton gown that is Petit Bateau that I found on sale at a children's boutique. Check department stores, too - Nordstrom may have some (big sale starts today!). HTH!!!
