Could you tell me their size? Trying to get a feel for how LLbean fits...i'm not sure whether we'd need a 4T or an XXS 4.

Thanks :)

Are you talking about shirts? If so, LL Bean seems to run really small. A LLBean 3T is about the same size as a 18-24 month size Baby Gap shirt. The one pair of 3T shorts I bought for DS also seem to run small and narrow (the latter is a good thing for us).

The coats, OTOH, seem to match Lands End, or may even run bigger.

I know this isn't exactly what you asked, but I hope it helps. If all else fails, you can always call LL Bean, and they'll probably be able give you the exact measurements of whatever you're looking to buy in both sizes. They have the BEST CS.

Sarah can wear both the LLBean 4T and size 4 (both girls and boys). They are very similar in fit, the 4 being slightly narrower in the waist, but a little longer in the arms and in the overall length.

FYI, she is 37" tall and weighs around 33 pounds.

I have to agree with Beth on the sizing between 4 and 4T. Why do they have to make it SO confusing anyway?! I was just at Beans a couple of days ago and tried out both on my four year old. I actually decided on the 5/6 size to get him through the winter.(he's about 41" and 40lbs to give you an idea)
L.L.Bean.com has some great sales on their parkas and coats in the Sale section. Warm-up Parkas for toddlers(2T,3T,4T) are only $19.99, a steal! They aren't warm enough for the middle of winter here(Maine, brrrrr!) but perfect for fall/early spring. I am getting my 4 year old one of those b/c of the price and also one for my 20 mos. old. The one-piece fleece outerwear are also $16.99 with a regular price of $40. Hope this helps!
