I hate having to take bottoms off to change DS's (17 mos) diaper, but I cannot find any shorts his size (18-24) with snaps. I could have sworn I'd seen them before, but now, even the infant size shorts do not have snaps!

Am I missing something here? I've checked gapkids/baby, oldnavy, gymbo, sears...

Shoot.

I've always just kept their shorts/pants around their ankles when I change their diaper, rather than remove them completely. To me, that's easier than all the re-snapping. I rarely use the snaps on any of the pants that have them. So I have no recs on where to find them. Funny how everyone is different though!

I've never seen shorts w/ snaps -- even in infant sizes. I have seen rompers w/ a snap-crotch however.

Pehaps I am wrong, but I don't think they make shorts with snaps. If you are two piece dressing the understanding is that you will take off the bottom to do a diaper change.

However if you buy shortalls (mini overalls with short legs) then there will almost always be snaps on the bottom. For example:

UPDATE: I had considered just buying khakis at the consignment store and shortening them, but then I got hold of my senses. Instead, I have stocked up on one-piece, short playsuits. Ah, now I can get on with my life!

BUT, I swear that last year, when he was in infant sizes, I saw lots of shorts with snaps (I have a pair from Gymbo, 9 mos size). Maybe this year all the mfrs decided to stop.

Thanks everyone for your help!

FWIW- I was just going through some of DS' old clothes, and he had a few pair of shorts with snaps in the 12-18 month size. So you're not crazy!

I really think you'll love the one-piece playsuits for summer. DS wore those all the time. They were so comfy and you couldn't see his diaper when playing (like you can with a 2-piece outfit). I'm bummed that he won't be able to have those this summer due to potty training.
