In the past few days, DD has really taken off with potty training (hope I'm not jinxing myself!). She will go on the big potty (with adapter seat) most of the time we put her on it. I'm trying to ask her if she needs to go about once an hour. She's been wearing panties except for nap and bedtime (and church yesterday), and is staying dry. She even went on a public potty this morning! :-) So, my question is, does this really count as potty training? How do I help her develop an awareness of when she needs to go? She did say, "I want to TT" when she woke up this a.m., and then she went on the potty. Does it sound like we're doing ok? She's almost 29 months old, btw. I'm so afraid of messing this potty thing up!

It sounds like she is doing great! And YES, it counts if she only goes when you remind her. Try doing that for a couple of months and having her get used to dry underwear. Then you can start reminding her less frequently and see if she goes on her own.
