Conner has been completely day and naptime potty trained for over 6 months now. He also is very close to being nighttime trained as well. I'd say that 98% of the time he wakes up in the morning with a dry diaper. He uses the potty before bed and gets up in the middle of the night to go potty on his own (we keep the potty in his room). After about 4 days in a row of dry morning diapers I let him sleep in underwear overnight-- he was dry for 7 days in a row in underwear only! But then we had two days in a row of him waking up soaked. We went back to diapers, but he gets up several times in the middle of the night to go pee and I'm constantly putting his diaper back on for him. So I'm thinking I need some kind of pull-on training pant that has a waterproof outside. This way he can pull them up on his own after going potty in the middle of the night, but there's still a little protection in case he does have an accident. I still want him to be able to feel that he's wet, but I don't want him soaking his clothes. They should be very similar to regular underwear and I don't want any snaps on them. And no disposables. Any suggestions?

Gerber has vinyl training pants with cotton inside. I've seen them at BRU before. I'm not sure how well they soak up accidents, but maybe it would help contain them.

We put them on DD on weekends just to see what happens (she's not PT'd yet). She definitely notices that she's wet. When we pull them off her, we have to be careful not to lay them down anyplace since the liquid just pools out of them. But they're waterproof enough that I can carry them to the sink and wring them out properly.
