I've posted on the Baby Bargains board about ongoing problems with DD's weight and eating (Failure to Thrive, food refusal, etc). Things are slowly getting better (knock on wood!), and I'm hopeful that we'll eventually reach a healthy state.
I wanted to tell everyone what a great help Ellyn Satter's books have been. Thanks to all who recommended them on these boards at various times. I visited Ellyn's web site, and requested a referral to a local dietary specialist. Her assistant offered to set up a free 15-minute phone conversation with Ellyn. She was GREAT! By far, the most calming, knowledgeable, understanding person we've dealt with yet about these issues. Unfortunately, she is not in our area, but she did recommend a colleage in Indianapolis, close enough for us to visit.
I encourage anyone having feeding difficulties with their child at any age to read her books and contact her if you feel more help is needed.
