I have a daughter who just turned 2 years old last weekend. We have a Fisher Price carseat (combo)--darn it, it's late and I can't remember the darned thing's name---was the one recommended in the Fields' last version of Baby Bargains right after F-P quit making carseats. Our main problem is that her shoulders are right now just over the top harness slot---last weight at the doctor's was 33 lbs. Plus, it just doesn't have that much padding for her little rear end and she really complains if we have to take long trips (even when we make very frequent stops to let her and us out to stretch our legs).
I've been looking at booster seats but can't make up my mind. Safety is of utmost concern, but we have to watch our pocketbooks right now too since I've just started a new business.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
