I was wondering what the height limit on the Marathon is. We have the RA and so in considering the Marathon, my question is while the weight limit is a great 65lbs., how much more taller are the shoulder harnesses on it than the RA? Since some kids outgrow by height faster than by weight, I just want to be sure. And also what would anybody suggest for an alternative combo/booter seat which is good for the taller, skinnier kid? Thanks!

The top slots are somewhere around 2" taller than Roundabout depending on who measures it:-) Somewhere between 17" and 18" of seated height, and similar to many combination boosters if not a hair taller. The key thing is that the Britax manual permits the child's shoulders to exceed the top slots, as long as the top of the child's ears are still below the top of the shell. This recommendation is unique to a few Britax seats as far as I know.

While some kids who are in much higher percentiles for height than weight may outgrow it by height before 65 pounds, most will make it well beyond 40 pounds.

cool.. thanks so much for that info. I haven't read that anywhere yet. It really helps with the decision.
