Has anyone heard of the Bebe Comfort Iseos car seat? My sister bought one a year or so ago and says that it is the best seat available for side impact protection? I was wondering if anyone else had any experience with it or could compare it to the Britax products?

Thanks!

Since it's not a US seat, I wouldn't recommend it if you are in the US. For one thing, it's possibly illegal (I doubt there would ever be an issue with the police, but it's best not to risk it...), and for another, standards are quite different for EU seats vs US seats, for instance, we require top tethers, which I believe they don't require in the EU, and our infant seats can be installed with a lapbelt only, whereas I believe EU seats must be installed with a lap and shoulder belt, which means in an older US car, they must be installed in a window seat, closer to the point of impact.
Here's an interesting page that shows a variety of seats in testing, from an organization much like AAA .... http://216.239.39.104/translate_c?hl=en&u=http://www.oeamtc.at/netautor/html_seiten/kisitest_2003/gesamt.html&prev=/search%3Fq%3Drecaro%2Bstart%26start%3D40%26hl%3Den %26sa%3DN

If you are in the US, and really looking for a seat with side impact protection, then the Companion is likely your best choice, followed by the convertible Wizard, though really most rearfacing infant seats are generally fine in side impacts.
