Hi,
Do I need to replace my backless Graco TurboBooster
seat that was in a crash?

I understand why a regular
car seat needs to replaced but isn't this one just elevating
my son so that the car's seatbelt protects him properly? So
wouldn't the strain of the accident be on the seatbelts, not
the booster?

Thanks!

Leah

You're right, backless boosters probably don't sustain much if any damage in a crash...but call Graco to see what they say, just to be sure. Along the same lines, it's often prudent to replace the seatbelt after a crash (sometimes a big tag pops out near the bottom of the belt that says, "if you can read this, replace the belt").
