The new Toddler Bargains book mentions a more padded version of the TB coming out. Is the Lacrosse one of those more padded versions? Is there a big difference?

The Lacrosse is pretty good. The Kimberton, Tucci, and Clarke are also very padded, as is the Disney Princesses one. The Asher is OK, the Roswell and Stormy, and Burgundy are pretty bare bones. I don't think too many kids really complain that the seats are underpadded,no matter what version you end up with, though...just depends how sensitive they are, I think :)

PS, I don't know how well labeled these are in stores, but you can see them at www.gracobaby.com so you know what you're looking for. Babies R Us also sells a very well padded cover separately, but it's kinda $$$$, IMO....

We have the Asher and if I had it to do again, I would buy the least expensive Graco Turbo Booster I could find. My DS is 4 and would sit on a pile of rocks <lol> -- it really doesn't matter to him, he just loves to ride in the 'big boy seat'.

His primary seat is a Britax Super Elite because he is so tall and grew out of his Roundabout at 2 years, 3 months. He's fine with riding in that seat on a daily basis, but really likes the booster when he rides in a car other than my van.

Hehehe, my son is like that, too...never complains no matter what he sits on! Most kids even find the Right FIt to be one of the most comfortable boosters, and it literally has one thin square of velour-stuff on the seat...zero padding whatsoever!
