We have a MA in each of our cars now for Declan. And for Meghan I'm debating on whether to get 2 more MAs or just get RAs for now then move her to the MA when Declan moves to a booster.

Declan is 21 months, 25 pounds and probably 34 inches tall so I know he's not ready for a booster yet. And not that he has to move once he is there size wise either. I just don't know how long kids stay in carseats before moving up to boosters. Thoughts?

Argh! Just posted a long post to you, and darn if there aren't some buttons on the bottom of my keyboard that just barely get touched and ERASE my posts...lame!
Ok, here's a link to a 7 yo in a Wizard (which is a bit taller than the Marathon)

Kids can begin to handle boosters usually around age 4 and 40 pounds, but many, many parents prefer the safety of the 5 pt harness for as long as possible.

My kids are 7 (in a Husky) and 5 (still with growing room in the Marathon) and DO sometimes ride in backless boosters for quick trips (moving the Husky is a royal pain, lol), but they love their harnessed seats and can un/buckle themselves faster than I can, so it's no more hassle than a booster.A

Age 4 and 40 pounds is about the bare minimum you'd want to put a kid in a booster, and even then they are often WAY too wiggly to remain safely positioned in their seatbelt, so longer is better to keep them harnessed, if at all possible.
