What about the Recaro seats? No one ever seems to mention them. Does anyone have one? I hear a new Viewtura is due out in May. I am trying to decide if I should wait for it or buy the Briatx Dec now.

How old and heavy is your child? I'm just asking, because the Decathlon and the Vietura are completely different seats (convertible and booster).

I'm dying to see the Viewtura...might even get crazy and pre-order a couple of them, lol.

The Decathlon is totally awesome...like a giant roundabout with extra infant padding :)

I decided I couldn't wait and so went out bought the Decathlon for my son. He is 2.5 and has a 6 mo sister. I suppose I may get the Viewtura in another year or so when he is more mature and better ready for a booster.

Thanks anyhow. You seem to have helped a lot of other moms as well.

Oh good :) A harnessed seat is the best choice for kids up to age 4 or 5 and even older (ALL of us, actually), so use your DC till he's fully too big for it and you have to reduce his safety by putting him in a booster (or get him a Husky, lol...my 7.5 yo loves his, and he'll be in that till I get a car with side curtain airbags to protect his precious head...we have parkways for spare use in daddy's car, though)
