Hi,
Just got the bodyguard for my DD. This is probably a really dumb question, but I've never used a seat w/a belt like this before - so here goes: do you "lock" the shoulder portion of the belt (by retracting all the way and letting it click back in) like you do when installing a carseat? Or is the child just free to lean forward willy nilly? I know to lock the lap portion, and as the instructions don't mention the shoulder portion, I'm assuming it's "unlocked" although that seems strange. Any harm in locking it?
THanks!

Boosters make the seatbelt work the same for kids as they do for adults...no *need* to lock the belt at all. And you'll find if you DO lock the belt in that seat, you will be miserable later trying to get it unhooked from the lockoffs. Fortunately, the BG is so good about keeping the belt ON the shoulder, even with a little forward leaning, that it shouldn't cause you *too* much stress when she does it.
