We have and '03 TAhoo. When we hooked the seat to the tether (middle seat position) it makes it kind of lean to the right a little. We are going to adjust it again but I don't think that will fix it completely. DS doesn't seem to mind... but is it "ok" as far as safety? He loves the seat by the way. We've not had any problems at all. It sits so much lower than our previous car seats that I think it will be a long time before the seat height of the car is an issue for us.

As long as it's the correct tether anchor for that seating position (I'm sure it is...some of them are just off center by a good deal...), then it's fine.. a little tilt is no biggie (well, of course if it's installed tightly otherwise it's no biggie, lol).

Glad the seat is working out for you...that car has headrests in all positions, right? So it shouldn't ever really be an issue. It's so easy for kids to climb into such nice low seats, isn't it?

There's no head rest to speak of in that middle spot. But I still think the seat will be good for a LONG time. He CAN get into the seat by himself but he's having an I don't have to so I'm not gonna phase. Since we got this seat he ACTS like he doesn't know how to get his arms out of the straps and says, "you gotta help me". They are funny creatures that's for sure. Thanks for the info.

Ok, no headrest...still, yeah, it probably will be forever till it's a worry. Ugh, yeah, my ds wouldn't even TRY to do anything with a harness or seatbelt till he was well over age 6 :P

My almost 6 year old still sits in his seat waiting for me to put his arms into the harness and buckle him up. At least I know he is in there right!

Oh, I meant after I've completely undone all the buckles and he is free to get down and all he has to do is slide his arms out of the dangling straps he says "you gotta help me"! In dangle mode (high tech term) these straps work the same as his other seat. He's just being a trouble maker. He can't undo the buckle yet, thank goodness. With the way this seat hooks on the chest maybe it will be awhile before his coordination is good enough to do it! He's just 2.

It's definitely better than wondering how to deal with a kid who keeps unbuckling! LOL
