Does anyone know if a Century Avanta (bought in 2000) infant car seat will fit in the Baby Trend Caravan Lite double stroller? Also, is this stroller recommended? I'm not really a "mall person" but I'd like to take both kids for walks and I don't think I can put a newborn in a jogging stroller.

I am pretty sure the Avanta should work with the Caravan Lite.... you can always call Baby Trend's customer service and ask for sure!

If you are planning on using the stroller outdoors you might consider a jogger with reclining seats!!! If you bought a sheepskin snuzzler it might do the trick for you!!! The Deramer Designs joggers are great!

Lots of people are also VERY happy with their Mountain Buggy Urban Double strollers...... the double has reclining seats suitable for a newborn and it has a front swivel wheel that makes it easy to take indoors as well!!! Again I would most likely buy a sheepskin to out the newborn on for added padding and support!

This is a great website to find out mroe about joggers!

I just called Baby Trend's customer service and they said the Century Avanta will not fit in the Caravan Lite double stroller. There goes that idea! I think I will just get the double jogger and try to make it newborn-friendly with added support. Even if it doesn't work I'll have the jogger to use in the spring when the baby's bigger anyway. Thanks for your input.
