Does anyone have any info on the OSA Bobike Mini? It's a bike seat that mounts in front of the adult, and is on the back page of the current catalog. I'm trying to find out likes/dislikes, and if this is a better/safer option than a rear mounted bike seat or using a bike trailer. Thanks!

We just went through all of this. Our son is too large for the mini but we tried finding a maxi - no luck yet. We've decided on a Kettler Flipper because of the weight max (50lbs), a 5-pt harness, reclining, and it's German (that's my husband's thing). At a minimum I wanted a 5-pt harness, the reclining part is just icing.

I've read a lot of scary things about seats vs. trailers, and based on that we decided against the front seat. (There is a guy below who writes about the bobike in the front.)

Below are some websites that helped us decide.

Good luck!

Hello, I read your e-mail and I too have been looking into Bobike Mini. I would this website that a parent talks about her experience with the Bobike. http://www.camdencyclists.org.uk/Members/andrewconway/docs/bikeseat

I hope her experience can help you,
Regards Lee

Thanks for the information, I was thinking of getting a bobike for my daughter, but she will be 30 lbs in a couple of months. She's only 28.5 right now and I know by the time she's 2 1/2 she will be 30lbs.

Your information was very helpful. I had found the camdencyclists.org info.

Thanks again,
Lee
