Kettler Air or Plastic Tires

Does anyone have an opinion on the Kettler trike tires--the air vs. the hard plastic? We are looking at the Air Happy and the Happy Navigator (the back bucket is a must for dolls, etc.)

DD (2 yrs.) will riding mostly on sidewalk/street, but I'm wondering whether the air tires make a big difference for the occasional time she might ride in our backyard . Is it worth the upgrade in price for the air tires?

Also, has anyone had problems with the air tires popping, getting holes, etc?

We have the older Kettler Air Jumbo and DS has been pushing it for over a year now...he's just now started to enjoy actually riding it vs. pushing it around with the push bar! Anyway, no problems at all with flat tires or anything. We haven't had to fill them since we first got it. We have uneven sidewalks and a textured patio, so we decided that the air tires were the way to go for us. We're happy with them, but I really have no comparison...so I don't know if that's much help for you!
